DigComp 2.2

DigComp2.2 framework for citizens has a new release today, March 22nd, 2022. During ALL DIGITAL you can participate in the Launch of the Digital Competence Framework 2.2 (DigComp) webinar on March 28th, 2022 at 14:00 CET.

The project DISK (Digital Immigrants Survival Toolkit) is based on DigComp. It aims to develop adults’ lack of digital skills (adult education AE with a special focus on so-called “digital immigrants,” i.e., people who are disadvantaged in society due to a lack of digital skills DC and are therefore among the less educated DC) and enable them to take an active role in a digital society.

The objectives are to create, implement and evaluate 15 modules covering different specific topics from the everyday life of digital immigrants as a “Digital Immigrants Survival Kit” (DISK), to use Flipped Learning 3.01 as a training approach, to create an innovative self-assessment tool based on competency-based self-assessment mandalas, to create a transferability and implementation guide, to flexibly transfer the results and outcomes to other European countries and finally to publish the modules of the DISK toolkit as Open Educational Resources (OER).

We live in an increased digitalized world. Tasks that used to be done on paper are now done digitally – for example, contact with government agencies, tax returns, travel and booking systems, shopping, and other tasks. To understand and perform such tasks, digital competencies (DC) are crucial as society becomes increasingly digital. This is why the European Commission launched the DigComp framework for citizens, some years ago, which now has a new release today March 22nd, 2022.

1 Flipped Learning 3.0 is well established and used in School Education and also Higher Education. In the field of Adult Education, there does not exist so much material. The first guide to implementing Flipped Learning 3.0 in Adult Education has been developed in the frame of the FAdE (Flipped Adult Education) project. You can either download the guide there (Flipped Adult Education Guide) or order it as a printed book from Amazon.
